Create a Cardio Log: Cardio exercise is so important for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and healthy heart.
Find one cardio exercise on the internet. For a span of seven days (consecutive or every other day) get your heart rate up for 10-20 min per day. Create a log of day, time and exercise duration. Which cardio exercise did you choose? How did you feel before and then after? Are you able to find the motivation? Did music help? What time of day is your "cardio time"? Dance parties are allowed. :) Please give a thoughtful response to these questions in addition to submitting your log. You can submit this activity as an email, an email attachment or by hard copy in the Main Office.

From Monday to Friday, I play football at school. On Saturday, I go to an open gym and run around for 20 to 30 minutes. On Sunday, I walk the dog. My cardio time is 11:45 to 12:15 on weekdays. On Saturday it was 4:00 to 4:30. On Sunday it was approximately from 5:30 to 5:50.

I decided to do a variety of cardio exercises. I chose seven exercises and did each for 1 and a half minutes. This took about ten minutes.

I have a broken collarbone so I picked walking my dog for my cardio. I pick a route that was about 2 miles round trip. The first few days were a little harder that the last partially because I had to wrestle my dog for the entire walk. Later on my dog got a little better but I think I need to walk him more if I want him to be good on walks. I think it’s nice to spend time with my dog on walks.

Monday through Friday I bike to and from school. On weekends I do Parkour classes. On weekdays I bike from 8:20 to 8:35. The time I do parkour varies depending on what class I do. On Saturday it was from 10:00 to 11:00, and on Sunday it was 1:00 to 2:00.

We were working on some new steps in my ballet class, so every day when I got home from school, I practiced them until I got them right, and then just stretched for the remaining time.

My dad has a rowing machine, also known as an erg, in the basement, and I took rowing classes over the summer and spring, so I know how to use it. I used the erg for ten minutes for seven days. The first day I had to take a break, but for the last few days I could just row for ten minutes straight. My average time is 2:40 (two minutes and forty seconds) per 500 meters. This was a good exercise, and I felt more fit afterwards.

The cardio exercise I chose was jumping jacks. Before i felt normal but after I felt tired then when I woke up the next day I felt energized. It was hard to find motivation at first but after a couple days I was looking forward to it. Upbeat music helped me because i started doing the jumping jacks to the beat of the music which increased my speed. I did my cardio at fourish. I really enjoyed the experience and I plan on continuing to do it.

So, once again, I maintained to do my walk home from school. It's about a half hour walk, and I do it about every other day. It's 1.3 miles in steep hilly conditions, while being close-to-literally bitten by a strange combination of frigid wind and sweltering heat. I'm telling you, I'm a superhuman. Nobody can walk that far in those conditions without questioning their mother's sanity for making them walk that far. I've done that walk four times in a span of five days, so I'd say I'm doing OK.

I commute myself to school every day, and I have about a 15-20 minute walk from my house to the bus stop, so Monday through Friday of last week I switched between running and jogging to my house to keep my heart up, and I found it so much easier to run for longer periods of time just from Monday to Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, I was walking around pretty much all day with my friends, and we had a couple stretches of time where we were consistently walking for 20 ish minutes each day. I did learn through excersing both by myself and with friends is that cardio is significantly easier when you have people to join you in it, so going forward I'm gonna ask if my mom or a friend wants to go with me when I go out to do exercise so that we can motivate eachother to do better. I don't think I'm going to do cardio as frequently as I have in this last week however, because I have scoliosis and sciatica, and running is awful for your back. If I have time, I think commiting to doing something like swimming for an hour or two on the weekends will be a much more sustainable way for me to get in some cardio.

My mom and I went from Thursday to Monday, and we did an online exercise. We have now decided to continue doing it every other night. To motivate my m,om and I even farther, we turned on some music and listened to it while we worked out.

I biked around my neighborhood for 15 minutes for 7 days. My legs were sore, but I still felt fresh, because I biked when it was cool out. I listened to my headphones, and it motivated me a lot. I biked at about 6 to 6:30 pm.

I spent 20 minutes every day jogging with my dog around the neighborhood. Our neighborhood is very hill-y, and I live on top of an extremely tall, steep hill. So running down the hill at the beginning was easy, but after looping around the golf course, I had to run back up the three giant hills to get back home; running uphill was the hard part. The first 4 days were really labored, I even had to take a water break the first day. But the next three days were a little easier when I applied the timed breathing technique you use swimming (especially when doing butterfly), and when I finally remembered to charge my MP3 player, jogging actually became fun. I might continue jogging every weekend with my dog, for it wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be.

After school i usually would ride my bike around this trail around my house. After school right when i get home is when i would go out and i would bike around 30-40 minutes. At first i was a bit hesitant because it is cold outside so,etimes but after I definitely feel tired and hot after. Although i got used to it after a bit. Music is really helpful especially when its upbeat, it makes time go by much faster.

The most consistent cardio exercise which I preform daily would be playing basketball. When I play I jog/sprint often up and down the court, so my cardio is definitely impacted. Before the workout I may feel lazy or even sluggish, but afterwards I feel physically redeemed by the activity. I may also be tired or worn out, but with the same affects. I don't listen to music, as it is distracting for the particular activity and haven't noticed any other difference in my routine which may benefit it more.

Most the time, at least three times a week/when I can, I go for a run around my neighborhood. Or sometimes just a long walk. I start off sprinting then when I get tired I'll just walk, walk fast, or jog.

I chose to do two kind of cardio because I was not able to stick with the same one everyday. The first one is walks or jogs around my neighborhood and the second one is just dance. After doing these for a couple of days I did feel more awake and ready to do stuff more often. I did not have a set time to do these things but I usually did them in the afternoon after school or, in the mornings on weekends.

I decided to start running more outside of the gym. I did this by setting a timer for 20 minutes and have an alarm go off every minute and alternate between jogging and sprinting. I learned that the fluctuation in heart rate is better for your cardio vascular system than running or jogging at a steady pace.

The last seven days I have had many exercises that have gotten my heart rate up. I usually play soccer, basketball, or football at recess. I play for 20 minutes out of 30 minutes each day. (Besides weekends) On monday last week, and wednesday, I had soccer practice for an hour and a half each, from 6:30 to 8:00. I had a soccer game from 2:30 to 4:00 on Sunday. On Tuesdays, I try to play basketball or soccer with a friend because I don't have soccer practice. Today I didn't, but last Tuesday I played with my friend, Caleb, for two hours. tonight, though, I danced with my sister for about 30 minutes. I hope to start running more on a regular basis.

I dance culturally, but the season isn't here yet. I've been practicing in my room for about 20 minutes a day, trying to get my form cleaner and learn some new moves. It's super enjoyable! I feel like I sleep a lot better than I did, as well. Sometimes I feel like not doing it, but it makes me mad to skip a day so I don't.

For about a week I would do more jogging than I usually do and ran about an extra mile than I would on a regular basis. I enjoy doing this during the day or right when I am going to bed because then I will be exhausted and tired and either relax if doing it during the day or go to bed when doing it at a later time. Each day was close to the same for me and I either jogged for 2 miles at least and I have become less exhausted after running after doing these cardio routines.

For a week I jogged. I jogged for a good 20 minutes for the 7 days. I enjoyed doing this right when I got home since I still had some energy to burn. I Jogged about the same distance everyday. 2 days out of the week I felt out of it so I ran only 1 mile.

I did three cardio exercises, alternating, for 15 minutes a day every other day for a week. The exercises were uppercuts, mountain climber planks, and speed skaters. The first day it was kind of hard, but by the last day, it was a lot easier. I probably got my pulse to over 100 beats per minute, and it was a lot of fun. In addition, I play football at recess for 15-20 minutes every day.

I decided to use my moms rowing machine in my sister's room. I tried to make a plan but got sick for three days and was unable. I exercised for ten minutes each time and found it got easier the more I did it. Usually, I used the rowing machine after my tech rehearsal at school, so around 6:00. I found listening to music helped a lot and made the time go a lot faster.

I do cardio every other day. It helps me to feel more confident about my body, proud of myself and is generally a good refresher. I normally exercise for about 20-25 minuets, and after that I drink water, grab a snack, and relax. Ive noticed it makes me happier and more focused.

I ran for 20-30 for a few days then I got busy and just did a bunch of jumping jacks, it felt very good afterwards cause of endorphins or whatever. I feel signifigantly better after taking up the routine, I probably won't be continuing it because I lack the perseverance. However I will be certainly be taking runs more often now knowing how healthy it'll make me feel, especially on days where I feel kinda lazy.

For my 10-20 mins of cardio, I did 5 push-ups, 5 bur-pees and 5 sit-ups, took a 30 second break, then repeated 4 times. I set an alarm for myself so I could remember each day for a week at 5:30 PM after school. I loved doing this because it made me feel really good and fulfilled for the day, and that was my motivation. However, I had to take time off of other homework to do so, which was not convenient.
